Megan Taylor Noe is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, meditation teacher and art technician.
Meg likes dark things. Her artworks express a fascination with morbidity, the material of memorialization, and questions what death and ritual looks like in contemporary life. Obsessed with angels, spiritual and sacred objects, and cultural conversations around the human condition, her art practice at large questions the existential dilemma through photographs, sculpture, drawing, video and sound. Meg received a BA in Photography from Columbia College of Chicago in 2013.
Meg maintains a curatorial practice. Most notably as Exhibitions and Programming Director at Weinberg/Newton Gallery in Chicago where she curated exhibitions focused on issues of social justice in partnership with organizations. Meg is an alumni of HATCH 2017-2018 Curatorial Resident at the Chicago Artist Coalition.
Meg provides documentation photography services for various individuals and institutions including the Renaissance Society in Chicago. Her daily bread comes from ten years as an art technician, currently available for freelance work. She is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor through Dharma Moon & Tibet House, taught by the inimitable David Nichtern.
She currently lives, laughs and loves in Los Angeles
